Who you'd work with in Missouri

Meet Kat Wilkins, LPC. Kat holds a Missouri professional counselor license and is an EMDRIA-certified trauma therapist. She works with adults healing from trauma, abusive relational dynamics and the controlling systems that surrounded them, as well as couples caught in a painful pattern. Her approach is steady and trauma-informed, and her aim is always to help you trust your own perception again.

Everything happens by secure video, so it works the same from St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia or a small town in between. Weekly therapy, EMDR and couples work are all available online. You need to be physically in Missouri during each session.

Want to go deeper? Therapy intensives cover months of work in a few focused days. Missouri clients can do an intensive online, or travel to Colorado Springs, where Kat offers them in person. Not in Missouri, or looking for something other than therapy? Coaching with Colby Wilkins is available anywhere.

Why I do this work

“Online therapy works. The screen falls away faster than people expect, and the work goes just as deep. And when you're ready for more, an intensive is a few focused days away.”

Why I do this work

“I spent years in ministry before becoming a counselor, so I know what it's like when your calling and your life stop lining up. Coaching is a place to think that through out loud.”

Yes. Missouri's licensing rules mean you need to be physically in the state during each therapy session, whether that's home, your office or a parked car with the door shut. Where in Missouri doesn't matter. If you travel out of state, we'll pause or switch to coaching for that stretch.

We're private pay and don't bill insurance directly. Kat's sessions are $180 (individual) and $235 (couples), and intensives are priced as packages. We can talk in your consultation about whether a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement makes sense for you.

About three hours a day, over one to three days, focused on what you came to heal, often with EMDR and parts work. Every intensive includes a pre-intensive assessment, a custom plan, a workbook and a follow-up session. Missouri clients do these online, or travel to Colorado Springs for the in-person version.

Most people begin weekly, then we revisit the rhythm together as things settle. Sessions are 50 or 100 minutes, online or in person. If weekly doesn't fit your work or travel, an intensive covers months of work in a few focused days.

Therapy focuses on healing: trauma, mental health, and the wounds that keep us stuck. Coaching is forward-facing, focused on clarity, decisions and living in line with your values. It isn't a clinical service, involves no diagnosis, and we don't use EMDR or other trauma processing in coaching. Kat provides therapy to Missouri clients; Colby's coaching is open to anyone, anywhere.

Therapy focuses on healing: trauma, mental health, and the wounds that keep us stuck. Coaching is more forward-facing, focused on clarity, decisions, and living in line with your values. It isn't a clinical service and doesn't involve diagnosis, and we don't use EMDR or other trauma-processing work in coaching sessions. If that kind of healing is what you need, we'll talk about whether therapy is a better fit.

Yes. Coaching happens online, so you can join from anywhere, including outside the states where we're licensed to provide therapy.

Not at all. Faith can be part of the conversation if you want it to be: held, questioned, or left aside. We follow your lead.

Many people start every other week and adjust from there. Coaching is often shorter-term, though some people stay on for ongoing support.

We'll talk about it honestly. If you live in a state where we're licensed, you can switch to therapy with us. If not, we'll help you find someone good near you.
