Who you'd work with in Colorado

Meet Kat Wilkins, LMHC, LPC. Kat is an EMDRIA-certified trauma therapist offering EMDR, individual and couples therapy, CAPS-5 PTSD assessments, and therapy intensives. She sees clients in person in the Colorado Springs area and online anywhere in Colorado. Her work is steady and trauma-informed, with a particular heart for people untangling harm that was framed as care.

Therapy intensives. Months of work in a few focused days, with EMDR and parts work at a pace your body can hold. Many clients travel in from other states: fly into Colorado Springs (COS) or Denver (DEN), stay somewhere quiet, and let the days hold the work. Intensives are also available online.

Coaching with Colby Wilkins. For a big decision, a change in faith or calling, or a season of transition. Coaching is online for now, and it is not therapy: no diagnosis, no trauma processing, just a curious and honest companion for the road. Colby's therapy clients are in Florida.

Being healed isn't about feeling nothing. Being healed is about feeling the appropriate emotions at the appropriate times and still being able to come back to yourself.

Why I do this work

“So often, clients get close to something important right as the hour runs out. Colorado Springs is home now, and an intensive gives us time to stay with it, gently, until it can actually shift.”

Why I do this work

“I spent years in ministry before becoming a counselor, so I know what it's like when your calling and your life stop lining up. Coaching is a place to think that through out loud.”

In the Colorado Springs area. We don't run a walk-in office; we'll arrange the setting with you when we schedule, and many intensive clients simply meet where they're staying. Most weekly therapy in Colorado happens online, and you need to be physically in Colorado during each session.

We're private pay and don't bill insurance directly. Kat's sessions are $180 (individual) and $235 (couples), and intensives are priced as packages. We can talk in your consultation about whether a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement makes sense for you.

About three hours a day, over one to three days, focused on what you came to heal, often with EMDR and parts work. Every intensive includes a pre-intensive assessment, a custom plan, a workbook and a follow-up session. Kat offers them in person in Colorado Springs, and online in between.

Most people begin weekly, then we revisit the rhythm together as things settle. Sessions are 50 or 100 minutes, online or in person. If weekly doesn't fit your work or travel, an intensive covers months of work in a few focused days.

Therapy focuses on healing: trauma, mental health, and the wounds that keep us stuck. Coaching is forward-facing, focused on clarity, decisions and living in line with your values. It isn't a clinical service, involves no diagnosis, and we don't use EMDR or other trauma processing in coaching. In Colorado, Kat provides therapy and Colby provides coaching.

Therapy focuses on healing: trauma, mental health, and the wounds that keep us stuck. Coaching is more forward-facing, focused on clarity, decisions, and living in line with your values. It isn't a clinical service and doesn't involve diagnosis, and we don't use EMDR or other trauma-processing work in coaching sessions. If that kind of healing is what you need, we'll talk about whether therapy is a better fit.

Yes. Coaching happens online, so you can join from anywhere, including outside the states where we're licensed to provide therapy.

Not at all. Faith can be part of the conversation if you want it to be: held, questioned, or left aside. We follow your lead.

Many people start every other week and adjust from there. Coaching is often shorter-term, though some people stay on for ongoing support.

We'll talk about it honestly. If you live in a state where we're licensed, you can switch to therapy with us. If not, we'll help you find someone good near you.
